Welcome to our story! It all began in April 2007 when fate brought us together in the most unexpected way.
After enduring the worst blind date ever, I found myself seeking solace at The Five Star Saloon, a lively and popular after-hours gay bar. Amidst the dancing and laughter with my friends, I couldn’t help but notice a handsome stranger making eyes at me. Desperate to make a connection, I sent every signal I could, even trying to wink, but circumstances kept us apart.
As it turned out, Taylor, that intriguing stranger, was attending his friend Heather’s birthday party, where conversations held him captive. Our paths almost didn’t cross, but destiny had other plans. On my way out of the bar, I fortuitously ran into a co-worker named Maureen, who happened to be at the same birthday celebration as Taylor. Serendipitously, Taylor handed Maureen his business card, and she kindly passed it along to me at work.
Feeling both excited and nervous, I called the number on the card, leaving a voice message where my voice seemed to transform into that of Minnie Mouse. Despite the shaky start, Taylor and I went on our first date on April 6th, 2007, and from that moment on, our lives became intertwined.
Since then, our journey has been filled with countless adventures, laughter, and love. We’re excited to chronicle these memories on this website through our blog, sharing our experiences and cherished moments with all of you.
As time moved forward, we took steps together, building our own paths in the world. We are now proud owners of TL Media, which provides digital marketing, photography, and videography services to local nonprofits and businesses; and have established Silver State Storytellers, a non-profit organization close to our hearts. Our passion for storytelling extends beyond business, as we delve into the realms of theater and filmmaking with our dear friends.
When we’re not busy with work, Taylor can be found immersed in the world of software, experimenting with chemistry in the kitchen, or engaging in passionate discussions about politics. Meanwhile, I delight in my love for movies, embarking on adventures in DC Universe Online, or indulging in a little retail therapy to enhance my wardrobe.
Together, we cherish our families and the unique journey that brought us together. We are eager to use this website as a platform to unite our families and preserve the stories that have bound us together as one.
